Why Not Sin?

Yah is merciful, loving and kind. This we know. Heck, even the bible says it is so: "Oh house of Israel, you will know that I Am Yahweh, when I deal with you for My Name's sake and not according to your evil ways and your corrupt practices, declares the sovereign Yahweh." (Ezekiel 20:44)

We have a savior, right?

Yahshua did not enter a man-made sanctuary that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in Yah's presence. Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. Then Yahshua would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, so Yahshua was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people and he will appear a second time--not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:24-28)

So seriously, why NOT sin?

If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of Yahweh. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of Yah under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:26-29)

What is sin?

Sin is the transgression of the law. (1 John 3:4)

What is "the law" ?

Yahshua explained it well: "If you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?" (John 5:46-47)

What is "belief" ?

Belief and Performance go hand in hand, just as Faith and Trust, just as Love and Sacrifice, just as Humility and Respect. Yah's great Humility led Him not only to die for us, but to tell us well in advance what would cause Him to die. He told us in Moses' writings just what Performances He required from us and also that He knew that we would refuse, we would rebel, we would dis-Respect Him and prefer our own ways over His. He told us He would provide Yahshua to pay the penalty for our transgression of His law so that we could walk, forgiven, on that straight and narrow path toward salvation... performing what we believe. And if we believe Yahweh is right, and not ourselves, then we will perform what He says is the right thing to do and crucify the deeds of our own flesh.

But... How in the world can we NOT sin?

Since even He knows we're weak, how is it possible for us to perform the right thing? Simply ask Him for His Holy Spirit to empower you to perform the things Yahweh loves!

"If you love Me," Yahshua said, "you will obey what I command. And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever: The Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you...If anyone loves Me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. ... All this I have spoken while still with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My Name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace I leave with you. My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:15-27)

"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the Name of Yahshua, for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off -- for all whom Yahweh our Elohim will call." (Acts 2:38)

It's EASY!

Nothing is too hard for those who have His Spirit dwelling in them. By the Spirit we can keep our feet on the straight and narrow path.

"If by the Spirit you put to death the mis-deeds of the body, you will LIVE / CHAYAH! Because those who are led by the Spirit of Yah are sons of Yah! For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of Sonship. And by Him we cry, 'Abba! Father!' The Spirit itself testifies with our spirit that we are Yah's children. Now, if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of Yahweh and co-heirs with Yahshua, if indeed we share in His sufferings that we may also share in His glory." (Romans 8:13-17)

It wasn't easy for Yahshua, but He loved us enough to do it.
